Founder’s note
The idea for Smoove was born when we saw a gap in the gut-health beverage market in terms of representation and wanted to fill that void in a very intentional way. As Afrobeats, pop-culture lovin’, self-proclaimed health-buffs, we aimed to bring exotic flavors to the prebiotic drink market in a cool and trendy way.
We focused on flavors that could be familiar for African-diaspora communities, offer a sense of connection to the motherland for African Americans, and share a little bit of culture and a lot of great tastes with everyone else! Most uniquely, we wanted to bring these exotic flavors to the market in a way that represented and aligned with the style and vibes of movement-igniting, internationally popular Afrobeats’ pop-culture… and that is exactly how the prodigy of pop, the drink with drip, Smoove came to be.
